Sowore, who was the 2023 presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC), took to social media to respond to Wike’s post about his son’s graduation.
He condemned the minister for having served as Nigeria’s Minister of Education for four years yet failing to establish a school of sufficient quality for his own children.

He further criticized Wike for his extensive political career—having served as governor of Rivers State for eight years, local government chairman for two terms, and now FCT minister—yet still unable to provide a decent educational institution. Sowore described Wike as a “shame,” pointing out the hypocrisy of a public official who could not ensure quality education within the country.
Celebrating his son’s graduation, Wike wrote on his social media account on Tuesday, “Happy to witness, alongside my wife, the graduation ceremony of our son, Jordan, who just earned a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree at the Queen Mary University of London, UK.
