Court Grants Bail To Ooni’s Ex-Queen, Two Others

Justice Kamorudeen Olawoyin of the High Court in Ibadan has granted bail to three individuals who were remanded in connection with a stampede during a food distribution event that resulted in the deaths of 35 minors in Ibadan, Oyo State, last December.

The three accused individuals are former Queen Naomi Silekunola, Ibadan-based broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat, and school principal Abdullahi Fasasi.

They are facing charges of conspiracy, causing death by negligence, negligent acts causing harm, and failure to provide adequate security and medical facilities.
