Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have successfully rescued Folashade Odumosu, the wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, on Wednesday.
It was reported that the operation, led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, resulted in the rescue of the retired AIG’s wife.
Force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the rescue to Channels Television on Thursday, stating that the kidnappers were neutralized during the operation.

Adejobi also mentioned that the ransom paid to the kidnappers as bait was recovered, though he declined to disclose the amount or the exact location of the rescue.
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the Commissioner of Police and the police operatives for their efforts.
Adejobi also reaffirmed the Nigeria Police’s commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and the nation.
Folashade Odumosu was abducted last Thursday at the entrance of her home in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The kidnappers forcibly removed her from her Lexus SUV and took her through a swampy area to an unknown location.
