Reps Appoint New Deputy Chief Whip

On Tuesday, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, announced the appointment of Isiaka Ayokunle Ibrahim (APC, Ogun) as the new deputy chief of the House.

Isiaka replaces the late Oriyomi Onanuga, also from Ogun state, who recently passed away.

Speaker Abbas stated that Isiaka was selected for the position after thorough consultations with the House leadership, the party leadership, and the South West Caucus in the House.

He urged the new Deputy Whip to maintain the integrity of the office by performing his duties with diligence and the highest level of professionalism.

Isiaka, a third-term member representing the Ifo/Ewekoro federal constituency of Ogun state, takes on the role.
