Fresh Appointments Made In CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed 16 new directors to oversee critical departments within its operations.

Their appointments, effective from March 3, encompass various policy, regulatory, and supervisory roles.

The newly appointed directors include Jide-Samuel Avbasowamen, who will head the Information Technology Department; Abdullahi Hamisu, as the Director of the Banking Services Department; Ojumu Adenike, Director of the Medical Services Department; and Makinde Olanrewaju, leading the Procurement and Support Services Department.

In the financial sector, CBN has appointed Sike Ijeoma as Director of the Financial Policy and Regulation Department; Isa-Olatinwo Aisha as Director of the Consumer Protection Department; and Oboh Victor Ugbem as Director of the Monetary Policy Department.

Additionally, Nakorji Musa will lead the Trade and Exchange Department; Yusuf Rakiya will oversee the Payments System Supervision Department; Vincent Modesola is now in charge of the Strategy Management and Innovation Department; Farouk Muhammad will manage the Reserve Management Department; and Akinwunmi Olubukola Akinniyi will head the Banking Supervision Department.

Other appointments include Solaja Mohammed-Jamiu, who will head the Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department (OFISD); Hassan Umar, leading the Development and Finance Institutions Supervision Department; Adedeji Adetona, overseeing the Currency Operations and Branch Management Department; and Okpanachi Moses, who will manage the Statistics Department.
