Tinubu Appoints New NABTEB Registrar, UBEC Chairman, Others

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Mohammed Aminu as the new Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).

Aminu, who holds a Ph.D. in Automobile Technology and a Master’s in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, brings with him 28 years of experience in teaching, administration, research, and policy development.

This information was shared by the president’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Tuesday.

Prior to his new role, Aminu was the Director of Procurement at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure.

In his message to Aminu, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of leveraging his extensive experience to foster transformational leadership within NABTEB, ensuring the board continues to evaluate and certify skilled human resources crucial for Nigeria’s industrial development.

Additionally, the President has appointed Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe as Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Board. Mr. Rasaq Olajuwon has been named Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical), while Tunde Ajibulu will serve as Deputy Executive Secretary (Services).

Olorunnimbe, known for his innovative leadership and dedication to youth empowerment and education, brings years of experience to his new role. As the Group CEO of The Temple Company, which he founded in 2016, he led transformative projects in education, entertainment, and sports.

Olajuwon, before his appointment, was the Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency.

President Tinubu urged the new appointees to strengthen the human capital needed to propel educational reforms and improve service delivery at UBEC, ensuring increased access to quality basic education across the country.
