The House of Representatives has mandated a complete shutdown of pornographic websites across the country.
It has instructed the Nigerian Communications Commission to implement the immediate closure of these sites.
The directive was issued during Tuesday’s plenary session.
Lawmakers proposed that internet service providers must block access to these sites as part of the new order.
The motion, sponsored by Katsina Rep. Dalhatu Tafoki, was described as a measure to “protect societal values.”
