Latest Cooking Gas Price Across Nigeria – Monday, October 19, 2026

The retail price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), popularly known as cooking gas, continues to fluctuate across various states and geopolitical zones in Nigeria as of Monday, October 19, 2026, with prices ranging between ₦1,300 and ₦1,700 per kilogram depending on vendor type, transportation logistics, and location.

Market surveys across major retail stations and micro-refilling plants indicate that while major filling station outlets sell at relatively lower rates, neighborhood micro-LPG retailers charge higher margins to cover local transportation and overhead costs.

At the wholesale depot level, primary suppliers maintain varied pricing tiers. Dangote Refinery listed LPG rates at ₦980 per kilogram, while major depot operators including 11 PLC, Ardova, Rain Oil, Techno Oil, Navgas, and Nipco listed depot rates between ₦1,160 and ₦1,170 per kilogram.

In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja and parts of the North Central, major filling stations such as AA Rano, Ranoil, and MRS dispense cooking gas between ₦1,300 and ₦1,500 per kg, while neighborhood micro-retail outlets charge between ₦1,600 and ₦1,700 per kg.

Across the South West, including Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo states, filling stations retail LPG between ₦1,350 and ₦1,450 per kg, whereas smaller gas skids and street vendors operate between ₦1,500 and ₦1,650 per kg.

In the South South and South East regions—spanning Rivers, Edo, Delta, Enugu, and Anambra—the cost of filling a 12.5kg cylinder ranges between ₦17,500 and ₦20,000, bringing retail prices to roughly ₦1,400 to ₦1,600 per kg at major outlets, while remote locations report up to ₦1,700 per kg.

In Northern states across the North West and North East, additional long-distance haulage charges push retail rates at independent filling stations between ₦1,450 and ₦1,700 per kg.

Households and commercial food vendors continue to feel the pinch of rising energy costs, with consumer advocacy groups calling for expanded domestic LPG supply channels to stabilize retail prices nationwide.
