Former President Muhammadu Buhari has reaffirmed his allegiance to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), vowing to help increase its popularity among Nigerians.
Buhari made this statement in a release issued by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Thursday.

“I am an APC member and I like to be addressed as such. I will try to popularise the party by all means,” the former president was quoted as saying amid rumours of defections from the ruling party.
Buhari ruled under the APC from 2015 to 2023.
