EFCC Arrests Edo Government Official Over Alleged Naira Abuse

The EFCC’s Benin Zonal Directorate has arrested Kelly Okungbowa, also known as Ebo Stone, an Edo State government official, for allegedly abusing the Nigerian Naira.

Dele Oyewale, EFCC’s spokesperson, confirmed the arrest in a statement.

Okungbowa, who was the coordinator of the Edo Public Safety Response Team (PSRT) and the Chairman of the State Asset Recovery Committee, was arrested due to a viral video showing him spraying and mutilating Naira notes at a bar.

He will be charged to court after the EFCC completes its investigation.
