Minority Leader Kingsley Chinda argued that the defecting members’ seats should be declared vacant, citing Supreme Court rulings on defection.

He stated that the defection process was incomplete.

Deputy Minority Leader Ali Isa asserted that the PDP is strong and without crisis, and that the defecting members should resign and face re-election.
