Obasanjo, Atiku, Obi, Tambuwal, Others Attend Ihedioha’s 60th Birthday Colloquium

On Monday, former President Olusegun Obasanjo presided over a colloquium in Abuja to celebrate the 60th birthday of Emeka Ihedioha, former governor of Imo State.

The event, held at the Ladi Kwali Hall in the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel, featured a keynote address by Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Sokoto Diocese, who spoke on the topic “Is Democracy Failing in Africa?”

The gathering also included prominent figures such as former Commonwealth Secretary-General Emeka Anyaoku, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, former presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, and former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari.

Atiku Abubakar spoke highly of Ihedioha, emphasizing his consistent loyalty despite their occasional political differences.

He recounted how Ihedioha’s persistence convinced him to attend the event during the last ten days of Ramadan, a period typically dedicated to intense spiritual observance.

The birthday celebration was scheduled to conclude with a dinner on Monday evening.
