Yekini Adeojo, a prominent politician based in Ibadan and a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has passed away.
He died in the early hours of Friday at his residence in the Iyaganku Government Reserved Area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Adeojo held the position of former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP and was a respected figure as the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland and a significant leader in Ibadan.
He was the father of the current Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government Area, Sheriff Adeojo. Adeojo had previously contested for the governorship of Oyo State under the PDP in 1999.
While specific details surrounding his death were still emerging at the time of reporting on Friday, a family source confirmed his passing and indicated that burial arrangements were underway, with a formal statement from the family expected soon.
