Sue Me For Death Threat Allegations – Natasha Dares Akpabio

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, has challenged Senate President Godswill Akpabio to go ahead and file a lawsuit over her recent accusation that he threatened her life.

Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that she has received information indicating Akpabio is planning to take legal action against her.

“I am hearing that the Senate President wants to sue me for that, I will tell him to go ahead. We will meet and cross that bridge,” she said.

On Tuesday, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of enlisting former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to initiate plans for her recall and assassination.

She made the claims while speaking to her constituents during a rally in Ihima, Kogi Central.

According to her, Akpabio first approached the current Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, to begin the recall process. However, Ododo reportedly declined, saying it would be impossible because she had strong support from the people.

Akpoti-Uduaghan further alleged that after Ododo’s refusal, Akpabio turned to Bello, instructing him to carry out both her recall and assassination, with assurances that he would cover the costs.

“But Akpabio was not satisfied; he then called for Yahaya Bello. It was Senator Asuquo who drove Yahaya Bello to the Hiltons. I was informed,” Akpoti-Uduaghan said.

“The meeting was in two folds; he told him to commence my recall. He was going to fund it. Of course, money changed hands that day. The second thing was that he should kill me.”

She added, “Akpabio told Yahaya Bello to kill me. Akpabio told him to make sure that killing me does not happen in Abuja. It should be done here. So it will seem as if the people killed me here. I didn’t make that public, but we did notify the police about it.”

But when asked if she could substantiate her allegation, Akpoti-Uduaghan, said, “If you are doubting the veracity of the killing, what about the recall that we just experienced? Let us get to that bridge.”
