Allegedly, I’ve Been Kidnapped – 2Baba

Following his mother’s widely circulated claims that he had been kidnapped, Nigerian music star 2Baba has responded with a lighthearted remark, joking that he is currently fundraising for his own release.

The situation arose after his family, including his mother Rose Idibia, expressed worry about his location, particularly given his ongoing divorce from actress Annie Idibia.

In a video that gained significant attention, Rose Idibia alleged that 2Baba was missing and potentially being held against his will by his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, a legislator from Edo State.

She publicly pleaded with Osawaru to “free her son,” implying that he was being subjected to some form of control or manipulation.

During a recent performance, 2Baba seemed to downplay the seriousness of his mother’s allegations saying, “Allegedly, I’ve been missing. Allegedly, I’ve been kidnapped. So, as we come to the Acapella show, this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release me.”

His remarks, spoken in a joking manner, suggested he was not taking the online accusations seriously.
