Civil Service Commission Speaks On Viral Recruitment List

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has distanced itself from a fake list of shortlisted candidates circulating online, stating that the information did not originate from the commission.

In a post shared on X by FCSC Chairman, Tunji Olaopa, on Sunday, he dismissed the recruitment claims as false and urged the public to ignore them.

‘The attention of the Civil Service Commission has been drawn to a publication circulating on various social media and online platforms, sending spurious invites to inform candidates of being shortlisted for the FCSC job recruitment that closed on March 17, 2025.

“We emphatically declare that information contained in the publication did not emanate from the commission and that those online publications are fictitious and should be disregarded.

“The commission cautions the public to be wary of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers requesting payment from them, as the commission will never demand any money from shortlisted candidates.

‘For the avoidance of doubt, whenever the commission officially concludes the shortlist exercise, candidates shortlisted will be informed, and also publicly announced through various media platforms and on the commission’s website.”
