Hisbah Takes Strong Action On 24-Year-Old Man Seen Doing Something With She-Goat In Kano

Officials of the Kano State Hisbah Board have arrested a 24-year-old man, Shamsu Yakubu, over an alleged indecent act involving a she-goat.

Shamsu, a resident of Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area, was seen in a viral TikTok video appearing to lick the animal’s genitals.

In the footage, he instructs another person, who remains off-camera, to record him.

The disturbing clip quickly sparked outrage both within the local community and across social media.

Shamsu reportedly admitted during questioning that he staged the act in a bid to gain online popularity.

He claimed he wanted to “trend” on social media and insisted he had never done anything like that before.

He also denied using any drugs or intoxicants at the time of the act.

Though he later claimed he didn’t actually lick the goat but only positioned his mouth near its genitals, his community reacted with anger and disgust.

Some locals even threatened vigilante action before a community leader reported the matter to the Hisbah Board, prompting immediate intervention.

Following his arrest, the Hisbah ordered a full psychiatric and drug evaluation to assess his mental state.

In a statement, Deputy Commander-General of the Hisbah Board, Sheikh Mujahideen Aminuddeen Abubakar, strongly condemned Shamsu’s behavior, calling it a disgraceful violation of Islamic principles and societal morals.

He warned against using social media as a platform for immoral behavior, stressing the Board’s dedication to preserving the state’s cultural and religious integrity.
