FG To Start Paying 5 Months Wage Award Arrears

The Federal Government will settle the remaining five months of the N35,000 wage award arrears owed to workers.

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), through its Director of Press and Public Relations, Bawa Mokwa, announced this in a statement.

Mr. Mokwa clarified that the government had previously disbursed five months’ worth of the wage award in separate payments.

He stated that the outstanding arrears would be paid in monthly installments of N35,000 over a period of five months.

The first of these outstanding installments will be paid shortly after the April 2025 salaries are disbursed.

Mr. Mokwa emphasized that the Federal Government is committed to fully implementing all policies and agreements related to staff salaries and welfare to boost productivity and efficiency.
