President Bola Tinubu had suspended Governor Fubara, his deputy Prof. Ngozi Odu, and members of the State House of Assembly in March following his declaration of a state of emergency in the state.
President Tinubu cited attacks on oil pipelines by militant groups amidst the growing conflict between the Governor and 27 state lawmakers, also referencing the involvement of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as reasons for the suspension.
