We Will Follow Kwankwaso Anywhere He Goes – Governor Yusuf

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has publicly declared his unwavering loyalty to Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, promising to align with Kwankwaso’s political choices.

“Wherever he goes politically, his supporters will follow,” Governor Yusuf stated during a meeting with 484 local government Councillors from Kano’s 44 local government areas at the Government House on Sunday.

He also addressed allegations made by Baffa Bichi, the former Secretary to the State Government, dismissing them as “false and laughable” and labeling Bichi a “shameless liar.”

Specifically, Governor Yusuf refuted Bichi’s claim that Kwankwaso receives N2 billion monthly from the Kano State Government, calling it “the height of political desperation and dishonesty.”

He praised Kwankwaso as “one of the purest and most selfless individuals in Kano,” asserting that Kwankwaso has never requested funds from the administration or interfered with government finances.

Governor Yusuf questioned Bichi’s timing and motives, noting that Bichi served in the government for over a year without raising such concerns. “He is only speaking out after his dismissal due to poor performance,” the governor stated.

He criticized Bichi’s integrity, suggesting that “he should have spoken out while still in office if he had genuine concerns.” “You were in this government for more than a year. If you had any integrity, you would have spoken out while still in office. But you chose silence until you were sent packing. That exposes your real motive,” Governor Yusuf said.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and good governance and urged the people of Kano State to disregard what he described as “the noise of bitter politicians who have lost relevance.”
