JAMB Makes Announcement Concerning Candidates Who Missed Rescheduled 2025 UTME Exams

JAMB has announced another chance for candidates who missed the rescheduled 2025 UTME.

In a Friday post on X, the board instructed affected candidates to submit a ticket on the JAMB portal (http://support.jamb.gov.ng), explaining why they missed the exam and indicating their preferred location for a make-up test.

This opportunity comes after JAMB rescheduled the UTME for over 300,000 candidates due to a technical issue that affected results from 157 CBT centers in several states.

This rescheduling followed concerns about low scores raised by candidates and others. JAMB admitted the error was due to a failed software update.

The board had announced that the affected candidates would retake the exam starting Friday. Over 1.9 million candidates took this year’s UTME, with 78% scoring below 200.

JAMB Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede, initially stated these statistics were consistent with previous years, but after reviewing the 2025 results and acknowledging the error, he took full responsibility and apologized.
