President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has been commended for appointing Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the 8th National Assembly, as Board Chairman of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC).
The commendation came from Hon. Bulus Iliya, also known as Bulusiyya, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State.
Speaking to journalists on Friday, Iliya, who contested and lost the 2023 Bauchi State House of Assembly election for Bogoro Constituency, praised President Tinubu’s choice.

He stated that Dogara’s leadership as Board Chairman would undoubtedly strengthen the NCGC and foster national development, bringing credibility, strategic direction, and significant impact to this commendable initiative.
Iliya highlighted Dogara’s extensive track record in legislative and public service as evidence of his capacity to lead such a pivotal institution during a crucial period of national economic development.
“On behalf of myself and my family, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to our mentor and boss, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, the Jendhm of Zaar Land, on your well-deserved appointment as Chairman of the Board of the National Credit Guarantee Company Limited (NCGC),” Iliya said.
The APC chieftain explained that the newly established NCGC by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu aims to reduce risks for lenders, making borrowing more accessible for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturers, and consumers.3
