Dr. Illiyasu Musa Kwankwaso, the Director of Finance for the Hadejia Jama’are River Basin and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has asserted that President Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership over the past two years has validated him as the “true messiah Nigeria has been waiting for.”
Dr. Kwankwaso highlighted President Tinubu’s impressive two years in office, pointing to various projects, human capital development, and critical efforts to address the country’s insecurity.
He noted that these efforts have unsettled political opponents, while the APC continues to attract many high-profile individuals from other parties.

In a personally signed statement, Dr. Kwankwaso stated, “there is no gainsaying that, President Tinubu, has one shows that Nigeria needs his attention in all of its human ramifications, as such he assembled men of integrity and courage who have in the last two years helped in turning around Nigeria.”
He specifically mentioned President Tinubu’s recent directive to security agencies to end insecurity by December 2025, which, according to Kwankwaso, demonstrates the President’s deep concern for the lives of Nigerians.
He referenced statements from Defense Ministers Badaru and Matawle, who reportedly affirmed that the nation’s armed forces are now better equipped and more motivated, with recent military gains signaling a turning tide against insecurity.
As examples of this progress, he cited the peace now enjoyed on routes like Birnin Gwari to Kaduna, and Zaria to Funtua to Gusau, as well as the largely secured Abuja-Kaduna road.1
Kwankwaso also praised the approval for the construction of the Kano Northern Bypass, proposed by Honorable Abba Bichi, which he believes will alleviate transportation challenges for those traveling from Kano to Nigeria’s northeastern part.
He described this decision as evidence that Tinubu genuinely acts as a president for all Nigerians.
Furthermore, he pointed to the administration’s commitment to completing the Kano to Kaduna and Abuja expressway, as well as the highly anticipated Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline project, slated for completion in 2025, as further proof of the President’s goodwill toward Kano and the North.
Finally, Kwankwaso emphasized that President Tinubu did not merely remove fuel subsidies, but ensured that a robust replacement policy, particularly the CNG policy, was introduced to ease the suffering of Nigerians, demonstrating a serious commitment to mitigating the impact of the subsidy removal.
