President Bola Tinubu visited the Dangote refinery in Lagos on Thursday, hailing the project as a “massive investment” and a “point of reference.”
In a statement released by the State House, Tinubu expressed gratitude to Aliko Dangote, stating, “Having inspected the Dangote refinery, which is a great point of reference, a great phenomenon of our time and a massive investment, I want to thank Aliko Dangote.”
During his visit, Tinubu also commissioned the access road to the Lekki Deep Sea Port, commending Dangote Industries Limited and the contractor for the “quality” of their work.

He expressed satisfaction that the Deep Sea Port, which he initiated as Lagos State Governor, is now a “huge success.”
“Users save vast amounts of money using this port because they no longer need to trans-ship their goods,” he noted.
He further lauded “the quality of the access road done by Messrs Dangote Industries Limited on our Tax Credit Road programme and the subcontractor, Messrs Hitech Construction Company Limited.”
Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, thanked Tinubu for envisioning and implementing the Lekki Deep Sea Port project, assuring him of the private sector’s support for expanding infrastructure across the nation.
