President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ismael Ahmed, a former Senior Special Assistant to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, as the Executive Chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi).
According to a Friday release from presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the 45-year-old will oversee the initiative’s operations, which are designed to mitigate the effects of fuel subsidy removal by providing cheaper, cleaner, and more affordable energy options.
The PCNGi is a key part of the Tinubu administration’s palliative intervention program.
