Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has vehemently denied reports connecting him to the newly formed opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He affirmed his unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his steadfast commitment to former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sirika’s refutation comes after statements made by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, during an Arise TV appearance, which suggested Sirika’s alliance with the coalition.

Similarly, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, was also quoted in a news report echoing the same claim.
Taking to his verified X handle, Sirika dismissed these assertions as unfounded and “pedestrian.”
He posted, “I watched HE Nyesom Wike today on Arise claiming that I have joined the so-called coalition. Whilst still in shock, I read on Premium Times a report credited to Chief Bayo Onanuga, making the same claim.”
The former minister underscored his deep-rooted loyalty to the APC, declaring his role as a founding member who helped define the party’s identity.
He stated, “I am a founding member of the APC; I gave it its name. I have no plans to leave it. I will always be where President Buhari is. If you must hate him, hate me too. I have no apology.”
Sirika further criticized both Wike and Onanuga for making public comments without verifying their facts.
He wrote, “At their levels, they ought to fact check. I call upon our loyal members to ignore both statements and consider them pedestrian.”
His response surfaces amid increasing speculation and political maneuvering following the official unveiling of the ADC in Abuja on Wednesday as a coalition platform for opposition figures.
The event saw the attendance of several prominent politicians, including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, ex-Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, former Senate President David Mark (now interim chairman of ADC), former APC National Chairman John Oyegun, and former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, among others.
The coalition is being positioned as a formidable opposition front ahead of the 2027 general elections, with many observers interpreting the gathering as a signal of potential realignments across Nigeria’s political landscape.
