CTC Of Judgment On Natasha’s Suspension [PHOTOS]

On July 4, 2025, Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja was reported to have ordered the Senate to reinstate the suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

In her judgment, Justice Nyako found the six-month suspension imposed on the lawmaker by the Senate to be “excessive.”

The court was also reported to have imposed a ₦5 million fine on Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan for violating a previous court order that prohibited public statements about the suit.

The judgment which was widely reported has been met with different interpretations.

While the Senate said they await the Certified True Copies of the Judgment, Natasha on her part initially announced her plan to resume legislative duties only to make a U-Turn.

She stated that her change of initial plan was due to legal advice which suggested she await the CTC of the judgment.
