Tinubu, Okonjo-Iweala Meet In Abuja

President Bola Tinubu met with the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at the Aso Villa in Abuja on Thursday.

The two held a closed-door meeting to discuss trade matters relevant to national, continental, and global interests.

The meeting took place just before the start of Okonjo-Iweala’s second term, which begins on September 1, 2025.

President Tinubu has expressed confidence that her continued leadership will strengthen the organization’s role as a “critical pillar of inclusive global economic growth and good governance in the next four years.”
