Tinubu Reacts To Death Of APC National Chairman’s Mother

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, following the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.

Mama Yilwatda, who died on Sunday morning at the age of 83 at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital, was described by the President as “a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community.”

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu urged the APC Chairman to be consoled by his mother’s life of purpose.

The statement read, “The President enjoins the APC Chairman to accept her death as the will of Almighty God and be consoled by the life of purpose his mother lived.”

President Tinubu also prayed for the repose of her soul and for her family to have the strength to bear the loss.

The statement added, “President Tinubu prays for the repose of the soul of Mama Yilwatda and beseeches God to grant Prof. Yilwatda, the entire family and all those Mama left behind the strength to bear the loss.”
