Governor Nwifuru Appoints Nnaji To Head Ebonyi Economic Team

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has appointed a 15-member Economic Committee, to be chaired by former Minister of Power, Prof. Barth Nnaji, to “drive industrialisation in the state.”

During the inauguration on Monday in Abakaliki, Nwifuru tasked the team with tackling “erratic power supply,” harnessing “solid minerals,” and guiding government efforts to revive industries.

He specifically urged the committee to advise on the revival of the Nigeria Cement Company (NIGERCEM) and the establishment of a new cement and salt production plant.
