What We Will Do To Fubara When He Returns September 18 – Rivers APC

The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has pledged to “work with Governor Siminalayi Fubara when he returns to office on September 18, following the expiration of the six-month state of emergency.”

APC state chairman Tony Okocha made the pledge in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, noting that the governor is expected to return to office as the “six months elapse.”

Okocha said, “So, we will work with him. The State Assembly will cooperate with the governor, but if he deviates or delves into obnoxious acts, we will criticize and call him to order.”

Okocha, whose party won 20 chairmanship seats in the recent local government elections, said the APC “deliberately avoided fielding candidates” in the three councils won by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) due to the “strong influence” of Minister Nyesom Wike in those areas.

He added that the APC is working to make Rivers “100 percent APC” and urged opposition politicians, including Wike, to join the party for “absolute peace.”
