Force PRO Transferred To Delta Command After Promotion To Deputy Commissioner

Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has redeployed Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, to the Delta State Police Command.

Adejobi, who was recently promoted from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), was first appointed in an acting capacity as Force PRO on February 16, 2022, while serving as a CSP, taking over from then CP Frank Mba.

His appointment was later confirmed by former IGP Usman Alkali (Rtd).

According to the Force Headquarters, his posting to Delta is a strategic move, placing him in charge of operations in one of the country’s most critical commands.

Police authorities clarified that the transfer is neither disciplinary nor controversial but part of the routine career progression and deployment of senior officers.

A source within the Force noted that Adejobi’s expertise in public communication, operational management, and community policing makes his new role not only a step up in rank but also an assignment to a highly strategic and sensitive position.

As DCP Operations in Delta, he will oversee security operations, combat violent crimes, and enhance police-community relations across the state.
