The leader of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, welcomed the Nigerian delegation.

The delegation discussed regional security cooperation against terrorism with the Burkina Faso officials.
The Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar said in the video which was in French: “I’m leading a delegation from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to discuss regional security and the fight against terrorism. We apologize for our aircraft’s unauthorized overflight and emergency landing due to damage—there were document irregularities. We regret this and thank Burkina Faso for their hospitality to our crew. A Nigerian leader’s ungrateful comments may stem from misunderstanding. We emphasize fraternity and sharing lessons to combat terrorism together.”
