Three US Warplanes Shot Down During Operation Epic Fury Missions In Kuwait [VIDEOS]

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that three U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles were downed in a friendly fire event over Kuwait late Sunday during missions for Operation Epic Fury.

The fighter jets were accidentally targeted by Kuwaiti air defenses in the midst of a complicated combat environment that featured attacks from Iranian drones, ballistic missiles, and aircraft.

All six members of the aircrew successfully ejected and were promptly rescued; they are currently reported to be in stable condition.

Kuwaiti officials have acknowledged that the incident occurred, and a formal investigation is now being conducted to establish the exact cause.

CENTCOM noted that further information will be shared as the review moves forward.
