There is high anticipation across the country as the Federal High Court in Abuja commences hearings regarding the eligibility of former President Goodluck Jonathan for the 2027 presidential election.
Jonathan is anticipated to be present in court personally this Friday as the legal proceedings move forward.
This legal activity follows just a day after the former president hinted at his desire to run in the 2027 election during a speech in Abuja on Thursday.

His remarks were made after a group of supporters marched to his home, pleading with him to enter the race.
In his response to the crowd, the former president highlighted the importance of patriotism, peace, and the integrity of the electoral process.
“Presidential race is not a computer game, but I heard you, and I will consult widely,” Jonathan said.
Visuals emerging online on Friday indicate that the court is already in session and prepared to deliberate on the eligibility case.
