Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara declined to speak with members of the press on Sunday following his appearance before the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship screening committee.
The exercise took place at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
As the governor exited the venue, reporters attempted to interview him regarding his experience during the screening.

However, he bypassed the questions, offering only a succinct reply: “No comment.”
Governor Fubara had visited the lodge earlier in the day to undergo the mandatory evaluation for incumbent governors intending to run for re-election in the 2027 general elections.
He appeared before the screening committee, which is led by the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
