Cubana Chief Reacts After Losing APC Reps Ticket

Popular celebrity businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has broken his silence following his defeat in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.

The socialite, who currently serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, had picked up the ruling party’s form to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the upcoming legislative elections.

Reacting to the disappointing outcome of the internal party polls in a viral video, Cubana Chief Priest stated that he has absolutely no regrets about venturing into politics, but openly expressed his bitterness over what he described as a total betrayal of trust by community elders.

“I’m a hustler, and I didn’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community. I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” the businessman lamented in the viral footage.

The nightlife promoter had officially declared his political ambition earlier this year, campaigning heavily on a mandate to champion cleaner, issue-based political participation led by vibrant young Nigerians.
