Yusuf Buhari, the son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to represent the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency in the upcoming general elections.
The younger Buhari achieved a landslide victory during the ruling party’s primary election held on Saturday, completely dominating his opponent at the polls.
Official results from the voting center showed a staggering margin, as Yusuf Buhari polled 5,849 votes to comfortably defeat his sole challenger, Auwal Lawal Daura, who managed to secure a meager 21 votes.

Following the outcome of the exercise, Yusuf Buhari has officially emerged as the flagbearer and candidate of the APC for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His victory comes as the APC nationwide House of Representatives primary elections kicked off in full swing across various federal constituencies on Saturday.
