“The Children Are Here” — Oyo Principal, Nursing Mother Cry Out From Kidnappers’ Den [VIDEOS]

A school principal identified as Mrs. Alamu, who heads Community High School, Esinele, has made a desperate, tearful plea for rescue after she, alongside several staff members and students, were heavily abducted by heavily armed gunmen in Oyo State.

In a highly distressing video that went viral across social media platforms on Sunday, the principal disclosed that the armed invasion took place on Friday morning around 9:30 a.m. within the Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

According to her account, the bandits stormed the school premises unexpectedly and forcefully marched multiple educators and school children into the bush.

“On Friday at around 9:30, we were attacked by a certain group of people. A good number of us were abducted, the staff and the students as well,” Mrs. Alamu cried out in the emotional video appeal.

The captive principal urgently called upon the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and other prominent citizens to intervene immediately before things turn deadly.

“We have been here since Friday. I am making this video to ask for help from everyone. They should come to our help and settle this thing peacefully so that our lives will not be lost,” she added in the video.

Another victim trapped in the kidnappers’ den, identified simply as Temitope, was spotted in the viral footage holding a tiny baby as she echoed the desperate call for an emergency rescue operation.

“Hi, I’m from Ibadan. I’m working at First Baptist Church in Ogbomosho. Yesterday, the people came to our school and we have kidnapped both the teachers and the children,” Temitope stated from the forest.

Pleading with both political and religious leaders, she wept: “We are all here, we need help from the federal government and the state government, both the church, First Baptist Church and the community. We need your help so that these people will release us. Please help us.”

She further raised the alarm over the deteriorating physical and emotional condition of the captive students, noting that the young children have been weeping uncontrollably since their abduction.

“The children are here, they are crying so that we will not waste our lives. Please help us all. We need your help. Help us all. Don’t neglect us all,” she cried.

This horrifying incident comes barely days after initial reports surfaced that armed bandits had ruthlessly invaded a secondary school located in the Ahoro-Esinele community of Oriire Local Government Area, successfully carting away the school head and a crowd of students.

The terrifying video has triggered an absolute firestorm of reactions online, with thousands of Nigerians expressing deep rage and panic over the country’s worsening security crisis, while demanding that security agencies storm the bushes to rescue the victims immediately.
