A freshly surfaced video has captured the exact moment supporters of activist Omoyele Sowore clashed with security operatives outside the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The heated confrontation broke out just outside the court premises as the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, was departing the venue amid heavily rising political tensions.
The incident unfolded shortly after the trial judge, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, admitted El-Rufai to bail in the sum of ₦100 million with one surety in like sum, following his arraignment by the Department of State Services (DSS) on charges bordering on alleged unauthorized phone-tapping and wiretapping.
As part of the stringent bail conditions, the court ordered the former governor to surrender all his valid international passports and report to the DSS headquarters on the last Friday of every month until the determination of the case.
