Hayatu-Deen Boycotts ADC Presidential Results Announcement, Raises Rigging Allegations

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has boycotted the declaration of the party’s presidential primary election results, pointing out serious concerns regarding alleged irregularities in the process.

According to Hayatu-Deen, reports coming in from across the nation showed massive vote manipulation during the primary.

He further noted that he personally witnessed some of these fraudulent activities taking place.

While addressing the situation on his official X handle, he stated: “I will not be attending the announcement of the ADC Presidential Election Results today. I am concerned by reports from across the country of widespread vote rigging, some of which I myself observed, and will therefore be taking advice on my next steps.”

This development introduces fresh drama into the ongoing ADC presidential primary race, which features a heavy contest between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, and Hayatu-Deen.
