The All Progressives Congress (APC) has completely distanced itself from a viral list of its purported senatorial candidates currently making the rounds across social media and various online news platforms, labeling the document as entirely fake.

The ruling party emphasized that the publication, which carries the headline “Concluded List of APC Senatorial Candidates So Far,” is completely unauthorized and should be treated with total disregard by everyone.

This clarification was made public on Thursday in Abuja through an official press statement released by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

The statement read, “The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a purported ‘Concluded List of APC Senatorial Candidates So Far’ currently circulating on social media and some online platforms. The APC wishes to state that the said list is FAKE and did not emanate from the Party.”

Following the development, the party has called on all its members, key political stakeholders, journalists, and the general public to completely ignore the viral publication.

The party stated, “The Party reiterates that only the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, acting through its duly authorized channels of communication, is empowered to announce the list of candidates emerging from its primary elections and other constitutionally prescribed processes.”

The APC further cautioned against the spreading of unverified data, pointing out that such false publications are only designed to mislead citizens, spark unnecessary confusion, and damage the credibility of the party’s internal democratic operations.

This strong rebuttal is coming just a few weeks after the APC wrapped up its senatorial primary elections across the country in May 2026, ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.
