Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has paid a solidarity visit to the Ibadan residence of the immediate-past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, following the abduction of the former minister’s sister and her twin male children.

During the visit on Friday, the governor expressed deep concern over the incident and reassured the family that active measures are underway to secure the safe release of the kidnapped victims.

“We share in your pain at this difficult time,” Governor Makinde said.

“I want to assure you that the government and security agencies are doing everything possible to ensure the safe return of your sister and her children.”

The governor also conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the family, emphasizing that law enforcement operatives are working relentlessly to rescue the abductees and track down the culprits.

“Our security agencies are on the matter, and we remain committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice,” he stated.

Governor Makinde further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to reinforcing security architecture across the state by maintaining close collaboration with all relevant agencies.

“We will continue to work closely with security stakeholders to combat criminal activities, protect lives and property, and ensure that residents can go about their daily activities without fear,” he added.
