The Oyo State Government has demolished a building identified as a hideout for the kidnappers who abducted the sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and her twin sons.
The government stated that this action is part of its “zero-tolerance stance against criminality.”

The demolition occurred on Monday, conducted by the Ministry of Lands and Housing alongside security agencies, following intelligence that connected the property to the criminal gang involved in the abduction.
The victims—Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul—were kidnapped on June 3 near Elewura, Ring Road, in Ibadan, while she was taking the children to school.

Following a coordinated rescue effort by the Nigeria Police Force, the victims were freed, two suspected kidnappers were neutralised, and several others were taken into custody.
Government officials confirmed that post-rescue investigations identified the demolished structure as one of the sites where the victims were held during their captivity.
