A disturbing video has been released by suspected bandits showing an abducted man, identified as AB Adebayo, popularly known as Kemuna, being beaten and humiliated while pleading for his life and the payment of ransom.
Adebayo and his wife were reportedly kidnapped from their residence in Iluke-Bunu, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State about two weeks ago.
In the clip shared by SaharaReporters, the victim was seen rolling on the ground as armed terrorists repeatedly flogged him with sticks.
While being assaulted, Adebayo pleaded in Hausa language, saying, “Don Allah, za turo kudi,” which translates to, “Please, for God sake they will send the money.”
The visibly distressed victim begged his captors to spare him, assuring them that his family members would send the ransom they were demanding.
Despite his repeated pleas, one of the armed terrorists, who was carrying an AK-47 rifle, continued to beat him while others looked on.
The footage has created concerns over the worsening insecurity in parts of Kogi State, where residents have repeatedly complained about cases of kidnapping and attacks by armed groups.
