The man seen in a disturbing viral video brutally assaulting a woman on a veranda has been taken into police custody after being apprehended around Ogbor Hill in Abia State.
The footage, which captured both on a bed placed outside the room in a space used for relaxation, showed the woman positioned face down in a side-sleeping posture while the man repeatedly landed punches.
The case gained significant traction after a social media user translated the audio from the video, providing a chilling account of the man’s verbal threats where he was heard shouting: “Do you want to die? Do you know I can kill you now? Do you want to die? Do you know I can kill you here?”
The arrest of the suspect marks a significant development in the case.
