Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, arrived at the Federal High Court on Wednesday morning amidst a heavy security presence.

Operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS), who were fully armed, restricted access to the courtroom, preventing lawyers, supporters, and associates of the activist from entering.

Reports from the scene indicate that DSS operatives, wielding sophisticated weapons, established a significant security cordon around the courtroom, blocking several individuals who had arrived to witness the proceedings.

This court appearance follows an order issued on Monday by Justice Mohammed Umar, which remanded Sowore at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
