Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has reaffirmed his commitment to the ruling party, declaring that he is not a nomadic politician or a vulture “flying from one tree to another” in pursuit of personal ambition or political convenience.

The former Kano State governor made the clarification while dismissing as false, mischievous and politically motivated posters circulating on social media alleging that he had defected to the New Democratic Congress.

In a statement issued on Friday by his former Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, Ganduje described the posters as a calculated campaign of misinformation designed to mislead the public, create confusion among APC faithful and generate needless political speculation.

According to the statement, Ganduje has remained consistent in his political convictions and has never contemplated leaving the APC, a party he served as National Chairman.

“It is not only false but also illogical for anyone to insinuate that Ganduje has joined the NDC; such a claim lacks both political and logical foundation,” the statement said.

Ganduje maintained that the APC remains Nigeria’s largest and most formidable political party, enjoying growing acceptance across the country and consolidating its position under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.

The statement described the circulation of the posters as the handiwork of desperate political mischief-makers determined to tarnish Ganduje’s reputation and create unnecessary anxiety within the ruling party.

Ganduje further disclosed that those responsible for producing and circulating the fake posters had been identified, warning that unless they immediately withdrew the defamatory materials and ceased further dissemination, appropriate legal action would be taken against them.

He called on APC members, supporters and the general public to disregard the posters in their entirety, insisting that they do not reflect Ganduje’s political position or intentions.

The statement reaffirmed Ganduje’s commitment to working with Tinubu and the leadership of the APC to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda and further strengthen the party ahead of future political engagements.

It also urged members of the public to rely only on official communications from Ganduje and the appropriate organs of the APC on matters relating to his political activities.
