Senate President Godswill Akpabio threw the red chamber into laughter during plenary on Thursday, July 16, 2026, by teasing Senator Adams Oshiomhole over his controversial private jet foot-massage video.
While addressing the floor, Akpabio joked.
The joke refers to the controversial 30-second clip that went viral on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, showing the Edo North Senator massaging the foot of South African influencer Leshaan Dagama aboard a private jet.
Although Oshiomhole’s media team released a statement the next day claiming the video was a fake AI deepfake, independent digital fact-checks later confirmed the footage was entirely authentic.
