Ex-Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani suggested on Saturday that the revived conflict between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is likely to persist until one of them passes away.
Sani remarked that Atiku has continuously encountered what he described as Obasanjo’s “hypersonic missiles” subsequent to the former vice president releasing a “devastating bomb.”
Utilizing his official X account, the former legislator stated: “The Obj/Atiku feud began when Gen Zs were in nursery and primary school.
It’s continuing even when that generation has graduated from universities, married and had children.
It’s likely going to continue until one of them is gone, and the other will pay a glowing tribute. Since Atiku threw a devastating bomb at Obj, he has been receiving Obj’s hypersonic missiles for two decades.”
Obasanjo recently reignited tensions with his former deputy by declaring that selecting Atiku as his running mate back in 1999 constituted his greatest error.
In the wake of this declaration, Atiku has launched multiple verbal counterattacks against his erstwhile principal while resurrecting historical political disputes.
